Six parliamentarians from Japan are bringing urgently required relief items for earthquake victims by a chartered flight scheduled to reach here on November 1.

Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Ms Hina Rabbani Khar will receive the delegation. The cargo includes tents, blankets, winter jackets, hand gloves and socks.

The delegation comprising parliamentarians from the ruling coalition of Liberal Democratic Party and New Komeito Party is visiting Pakistan on a goodwill mission.

The Japanese MPs are bringing a part of the relief goods announced by the government of Japan as emergency grant assistance worth $12 million. The emergency relief package include 2,500 tents, 2500 plastic sheets, 5,000 ping mats, 16,000 blankets and 5,000 plastic containers.
